She is also president and founder of Financial Steward Associates, which she established in 2005. Although located in Boulder, Colorado, Marion advises clients from coast to coast and meets with them regularly over the phone or via Zoom to stay updated. From the beginning, Marion’s most outstanding quality has been her ability to connect with her clients in a way that develops close relationships built on trust. She learns their goals, fears, dreams and concerns, as well as their dollars and cents. Armed with this knowledge, Marion is able to help manage client’s expectations, reassure them when there are bumps in the road and support them as they fulfill their goals to make their dreams a reality. Her guidance supports people who are just starting out, those who are well into their earning phase and those who are retired. Marion believes that we each have our own gifts and passion to pursue in life, and she wants to help you have financial confidence so that you can focus on what you truly love.
Marion graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in economics and French. Her career began in the retirement planning business with First Trust Corporation, a trustee for IRAs and Qualified Plans. After working for First Trust in the Compliance department, she left to start her own financial planning practice. Marion earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2000 and is also a LPL Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative through FSA. She served as president of the Colorado Financial Planning Association in 2005 and mentors both financial planning students and financial planners who are eager to launch their own businesses.
Marion lives in Niwot, CO with her husband and their Black Russian Terrier, Juliet. Their latest hobby is archery with a recurve bow. They also love to travel, with eclectic destinations from Sitka, AK and National Parks to Tahiti, Florence and Cambridge, England to visit their daughter.
